Laughter Yoga

The idea behind laughter yoga is for people to gather together for the sole purpose of laughing. It is non-religious, non-political, and does not actually involve any yoga, but does involve heaps of laughter.

It is learning to laugh for no reason. This is achieved by using special laughter techniques to fake laugh which eventually encourages unconditional laughter. There is no need for talking as laughter is the language, and if used regularly, can promote bonding, trust and connection with others.

Laughter Yoga is indeed the best medicine and a good hearty laugh can help relieve stress, worry, and depression. It touches the emotional core and alleviates feelings of loneliness, isolation, and judgement.

If you tend to spend most of the time in the logical part of your brain, laughter gives you permission to be childlike again. It helps you to release inhibitions, get imaginative, and lighten up.
