Laughter Yoga

The idea behind laughter yoga is for people to gather together for the sole purpose of laughing. It is non-religious, non-political and does not involve any yoga, but does involve heaps of laughter.

It is learning to laugh for no reason. This is achieved by using special laughter techniques and yogic breathing, which encourages unconditional laughter without the need of the spoken word. Laughter is the language, and if used regularly, can promote bonding, trust and connection with others.

Laughter Yoga is indeed the best medicine and a good hearty laugh can help relieve stress, worry and depression. It touches the emotional core and alleviates feelings of loneliness, isolation and judgement. 

If you tend to spend most of the time in the logical part of your brain, Laughter gives you permission to be childlike again. It helps release inhibitions, get imaginative and lighten up.
